If you ever have the opportunity to speak with Connection Project President and Founder Jason Hopcus, it won’t take long to feel and hear his motivation and ambition for establishing the for-profit entity dedicated to sustainable and innovative mental health solutions.
In fact, following his own personal experience with mental health that led him to losing his money, his mind and his way, he discovered the secret weapon to combatting the inner struggles he faced through his journey was a lifetime in service to others.
Jason’s leadership of the affiliated nonprofit NAMI Arapahoe/Douglas Counties (NAMI ADCO) has helped him understand how everyone is impacted by mental health. And, recognizing how the present narrative surrounding mental health is often perpetuated through sad, scary, or traumatic events, he continues to ideate and problem solve around new ways people everywhere can unite in support of each other – regardless of their struggles, who they are or where they come from.
Connection Project believes the current state is a missed opportunity to meet people where they are. By recognizing that everyone struggles, Connection Project aims to elevate and amplify the stories of real people to remind others they are not alone and who are ready to lead more hopeful, purposeful lives.
