The Man Map: A Guide to providing, surviving, and thriving in today’s competitive world.
Six million males are affected by depression every year, further proving that despite our progress when it comes to mental health, men still feel the impact of deeply-rooted ideas and expectations of strength simply because of their gender. Add the layers of demanding jobs, relationships, trying to be present for families, and other duties, and mental health begins to feel more like a utopian thought, let alone a priority.
Connection Project launched The Man Map, to share stories to educate and empower men about the realities of mental health, and how talking about mental health can help us redefine what it truly means to show up in strong and vulnerable in ways that are needed now more than ever.
Through candid conversations and real stories of men who understand what living with poor mental health can lead to, listeners received a wealth of information about the realities of being a man managing a mental health condition and what other men can do who find themselves in similar situations.
